South Park Greenies 1966
In Memory
Robert Daily, '66 (Feb 25, 2021)

(Robert passed away from heart failure. Please let us know if you have any further information or link to an obituary.)

"Robert Daily was a good friend of mine, we grew up together only a few streets apart. He was one of our gang that a lot of the kids at SPHS called the "Surfer Boys". Robert, David Moyer, Lloyd Coward, and I did a lot of surfing in the summers of '64, "65 and "66. It was great times,,,the beaches in Galveston and the surrounding areas were clean and loaded with Texas surfers. We didnt have the waves that California or Hawaii had but we sure had great times !!  Go Greenies !!"

Jerry 'Bill' Dardis, '66 (Feb 12, 2021)
Russell Thompson '66 & '67 (Feb, 2021)

Russell Thompson passed away recently and there was confusion as to whether he was in our class or '67. The answer is he was in our class most of our school years, but broke his leg in football (11th grade?). It was serious enough that he ended up moving back to the class of '67 by the time he graduated. I don't have any details on his service or obituary. My thanks to several classmates who helped unravel this history.
